Book five (novella) of the Westen series uses this small town as a backdrop to the lives of of the people living there. The story focuses on school teacher Holly Murphy and carpenter Nick Fisher as they keep getting thrown together in a school and town project. As they get to know each other, another person plots the kidnapping of Holly. Several characters from previous books have parts in this book which keeps the warmth and caring of the town's citizens a continuous theme. Some minor suspense, developing friendships and a lovely romance gave me an enjoyable time. Christmas cheer and good wishes abound in a heart-lightening read. Just finish reading this series and I enjoyed it greatly. I loved all of the characters story line. It was fun watching all the happens with all of the characters. Lots of romance,action and a little of suspense. Wonderful, can't wait for more on the small town of Westen. I'm looking forward to see what happen next.
I love reading Suzanne Ferrell's stories. The storyline is set in an area where I grew up and call home. So this was like bringing a bit of "I'll be home for Christmas" to me. Add the sweet romance and Christmas miracles and it was a story to put a smile in your heart and believe I Yuletide magic.
A wonderful Christmas story. Nick and Holly even have Christmas names. Always a fun read with the people of Westen. Love and danger is always in the air up there. Great characters, great storyline from my all time favorite author. Looking forward to my next visit to Westen.
Who would be so lucky, there is happiness for everyone, we just need to find it and don't let anyone stand in your way. I am really enjoying this series, I cant seem to be able to put it down.
I am a huge fan of Suzanne and love both her series.. I always look forward to her books and this one didn't disappoint. It was sweet and suspenseful and you can't help but fall in love with the characters. Holly is sweet but can kick butt when she needs. Nick is a protector and makes you fall in love with him. Can't wait for the next book. Great read.
Have been waiting for another book in the Westen series. This one did not disappoint with good characters and story. I do wish it would have not been so short (under 200 pages). I am hoping for a continuation of this series. Maybe the next one could include Gage and Bobby's wedding and maybe a Westen romance for one of her sisters. Please Ms. Ferrell don't stop as this is a great series. The many characters in Westen keep the stories entertaining.
This novella had it all "Cute Meet", a charming kid with true-to-life (and age) personality, military heroes, suspense, mystery, humor, Christmas spirit, contemporary romance, sparkling dialogue, home-town feel, a few meddlers who wanted to see Nick and Holly together almost as much as I did. A fun read!
